When You Cut into the Present the Future Leaks Out

I’ve been reading about the cut-up technique employed most famously by William S. Burroughs, who has previously provided me with creative inspiration, the result can be seen in this post.

Ultimately I aim to create a short story using this method but I’m currently trying to work out the mechanics of it.

In an effort to elucidate the process, here’s a brief video on the topic.

Incidentally David Bowie employed the cut-up technique to write his lyrics. Most notably Space Oddity, his first major hit single.
